From 11 to 15 June, CHAdeMO Association participated in the 35th edition of the EVS, the world’s largest EV event, and co-organised an exhibition booth with EVTEC, Fermata Energy, Innovate UK, Magnum Cap, Nissan and Sumitomo Electric. Having secured a prime location near the main entrance, CHAdeMO booth was highly visible and attracted over a great number of visitors.
Innovate UK, a governmental agency, presented a series of UK-funded V2G projects and Sumitomo Electric has shown its brand-new connector "SEVD-V3" suitable for compact and lightweight chargers such as V2H and V2X. There were several V2G bi-directional chargers exhibited by Fermata Energy “FE-15 V2X CHARGER” and EVTEC “Sospeso,” along with Magnum Cap "WB V2G". Finally, with its metallic blue colour, the latest 2022 model of Nissan Leaf attracted the attentions of many visitors, which is not surprising given LEAF is very popular in Norway - in fact, of the half a million EVs sold (up to April 2022) in Norway, LEAF is THE best-selling car! You can read the article on this by the Norweigian EV Association from here (in Norweigian).
In addition to the trade fair, CHAdeMO’s V2G paper was selected by the EVS scientific committee for a presentation in the conference. Mika Zaurin Casanova, CHAdeMO EU’s PR manager, presented the key findings of V2G demonstration projects and explained the potential of V2G as a key enabler for transition to climate neutrality.
